MENTAL HEALTH PROVIDER CLICK-TO-VERIFY™ eTherapyInstitute.org's Mental Health Provider "Click-to-Verify" program is the original Mental Health Consumer Assurance Program. The program provides confirmation to consumers that the mental health providers they are considering are licensed, in good standing and insured. Additionally, mental health providers presenting themselves on the Internet, who are awarded the "Click-to-Verify" Seal, must follow the recommendations set forth by the American Psychological Association, state regulatory boards and other professional organizations and associations.Although eTherapyInstitute cannot make any claims or assertions regarding the specific treatment consumers receive from mental health providers who display the Seal, "Click-to-Verify" affords the peace of mind that comes with knowing that a mental health provider is indeed legitimate, credentialed and insured.
1. Provide a free service to Mental Healthcare Consumers that provides them with third-party verification and evaluation of mental health providers' professional license status. 2. Conduct annual Professional License reviews. 3. Keep on file a copy of Professional License and current malpractice insurance policy. REQUIREMENTS FOR MENTAL HEALTH PROVIDERS 1. Valid Professional License in good standing. 2. Current Malpractice Insurance. 3. Comply with all state laws and regulations that govern his or her practice, including but not limited to, making required disclosures to the client or patient. 4. Provide therapy and/or counseling services to clients or patients within the scope of his or her license and competence, as established by his or her experience, training and education.
